Number One Online Poker Operator
Since the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling
Enforcement Act (UIGEA), WhichPoker.com conducted a new study declaring
that PokerStars has become the world’s largest online poker room,
and the largest cash game online poker room.
PartyPoker was the reigning champion of the world's
largest online poker room, but now that PokerStars continues to accept
US players, the gaming firms have switched positions in popularity.
When visiting the PokerStars website, it clearly states
that, 'PokerStars believes that poker is a game of skill enjoyed by
millions of players and we remain committed to providing you a safe
and fun environment in which to play.'
Before the UIGEA was signed into law by President George
W. Bush, PokerStars daily number of players increased from 6,500 to
almost 8,500, which is approximately 31 percent more.
The famous poker room has also increased the bets to
its cash game offering by introducing Razz, Seven Card Stud, Triple
Draw, Five Card Draw, and the World Series of Poker favorite, Horse.
PokerStars has made a strong presence in the American
market, but has also made its way to the European market by introducing
their German Language Website. The company plans to lead the online
gaming industry worldwide.
