The poker room at Pompano Park will be
closed for two days, Monday and Wednesday, as track management moves
the poker room from the second floor to the fourth floor. The poker
room will reopen on Friday.
The poker room is being moved because the second floor
space is needed to begin processing the 1,500 slot machines that will
be coming to the racetrack for the new casino.
The racetrack will be open Monday and Wednesday for
live harness racing.
Former stakes champion and $368,000 career winner, Erikas
Message, heads the 5th race trot at Pompano Park Monday.
The 2-1 morning line favorite starts from the rail seeking
his fourth straight victory for the Fred Cohen Stable.
